ABOUT THE CHRONIC PAIN WORKSHOP:

A virtual 90-minute group workshop led by a pharmacist and occupational therapist. This session involves:

  • Education on chronic pain and how it affects our nervous system
  • Education on role of medications for chronic pain
  • Introduction to our 3 “M” Principles – Movement, Medications, and Mindfulness in active self management of chronic pain
  • Introduction to Goal Setting to improve function

WHO CAN ATTEND:

Adults (18+ age) living with non-specific, non-cancer related chronic pain (lasting over 3-6 months)

AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP:

You will gain an understanding of how pain affects your brain and body, and what can help to manage pain better. You may create an action plan / goals on how you want to manage pain and improve daily function. You will receive resources in the community to support your pain self management goals.
